Cat C7 Engine is Versatile

The Cat C7 engine has a history of good durability. It continues to set high standards for versatility and value. Torque ratings ranged from 520 up to 925 lb-ft. The C7 is expected to have a life of 450,000 to 500,000 miles. Front PTO Options allows the C7 to fit in fire, emergency and recreational vehicles. They are perfect for construction, utility, pick up and delivery applications. The Cat Common Rail Fuel System provides greater injection flexibility and increases fuel economy by up to 4%. From 2003 to 2009, the C7 was Caterpillar’s primary engine for medium-duty trucks with a GVWR of 18,000 to 33,000 lbs. from GMC, Ford, Freight liner and Paccar. The Cat C7 is an inline 6-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 7.2 liters or 441 cubic inches.
